Hold the bar and speak. Every phone on your channel plays your voice at once. No dialling, no choosing a person, no waiting for a ring.
While someone holds the floor, everyone else’s bar is locked. Nobody talks over anybody — radio procedure, without the radio.
CRAGGEN keeps listening with the screen off. Pro and Crew can use a compatible Bluetooth push-to-talk button without touching the phone.
Big enough for gloves, dark until it matters, and the whole bar changes colour so you can read the channel from across a car park. Press and hold the first phone — it works.
Idle. The bar sits dark. A control doing nothing should never be the brightest thing on the screen.
Transmitting. The bar floods Beacon amber — one colour, one meaning, spent on nothing else.
Receiving. Cold blue, the opposite temperature to amber — the two states are never in the same family, even to colour-blind eyes.
You are trusting this with your crew — on a site, at an event, on a hill — so the limits go on the front page, not in the small print.
CRAGGEN carries voice over a data connection. Today that means ordinary mobile data or Wi-Fi. Direct-to-cell is beginning to extend that data layer, but CRAGGEN is not yet approved or field-proven on a satellite network.
Every person on the channel needs a supported data path. Where none exists, there is no CRAGGEN. Use radios for local no-network voice and proper emergency equipment where the risk calls for it.
CRAGGEN must never be the emergency plan. If someone is hurt, make a phone call: dial your local emergency number and ask for the service you need. (999 or 112 in the UK, 911 in North America, 000 in Australia.) The talk screen repeats this line permanently.
Why put this above the feature list? Because a coordination tool you half-trust is worse than none. CRAGGEN’s claims are small and all of them are true — that is the product.
Selected app voice is already travelling directly between ordinary phones and satellites in the UK, US, Canada and New Zealand. CRAGGEN is technically prepared for constrained satellite networks; carrier approval and real-world testing are the remaining gates.

CRAGGEN works with Bluetooth and wired headsets. Pro and Crew support compatible Bluetooth push-to-talk buttons. Button behaviour varies by manufacturer and Android device, so test the exact combination before operational use.
