For days out with the whole tribe
Beach days, theme parks, the big family picnic — the crowd scatters in minutes. One channel, one press, and "we’re at the ice cream van" reaches everyone at once.
Big family days have a shape: somebody's at the car, somebody's in the queue, the teenagers have evaporated, and the meeting time exists only in one person's head. Group chats go unread in pockets. A voice channel fixes it the way it fixed it for site crews and film sets: say it once, everyone hears it, nobody's scrolling.
The honest bit, before anything else. CRAGGEN works over mobile data or Wi-Fi — every phone in the group needs a working connection. It is not a radio, it cannot work with no signal at all, and it cannot call the emergency services. In an emergency, call your local emergency number directly — in the UK that is 999, and you can register for 999 by text at emergencysms.net before you head out.
Made for the scattered afternoon
- The beach. "Tide's coming up, we're moving to the wall" — one press, every windbreak informed. No sandy typing.
- Theme parks and shows. Queue intel is currency: "Forty minutes here, come to the other one." It works across the places where every participating phone has usable data.
- The multi-household picnic. Aunties, cousins, three cars, one gazebo. Share one code in the family chat the night before and avoid repeated check-in messages.
- Teenagers, on their terms. Ages 13+, no account and no tracking in the app — just a channel for the day. Everyone can mute a person immediately if they need quiet.
A note on younger children: CRAGGEN is for ages 13 and up, and it is not a child tracker — there's no location sharing or surveillance in the app, by design. It keeps the humans with phones coordinated; the little ones stay where they always should, in sight.
Questions people ask
Is this a way to track my kids?
No. CRAGGEN has no location sharing or tracking in the app. It is a live voice channel for people aged 13 and up, not a child tracker or substitute for supervision.
Does it cost anything?
Joining a channel you are invited to is always free. Free can also host one channel for up to six people; optional Pro and Crew subscriptions add higher hosting capacity and organiser tools. Everyone uses their normal mobile data or Wi-Fi.
Does it work in crowded places?
It can work where every participating phone has usable mobile data or Wi-Fi. Busy networks and indoor areas can affect coverage. One person talks at a time, and the channel capacity is set by the host's plan.
